FEBRUARY 18, 2021
He is a distemper survivor. His head always has a little tilt from it, but it doesn't bother him at all. When a group of his friends goes frolicking past you, he will too - just a little later. He runs a little slower than the others, but with all the glee and then some.
His name is Professor Bug. We have more to tell you about him - that he was rescued in Tijuana by Nancy, sponsored by At-Choo Foundation, healed up by their amazing team including Elaine, Rebeca, Oralia, Hilda and Estrellita, driven to Oregon by KyLee, and welcomed there by Family Dogs New Life Shelter. But the most important thing we can tell you about Professor Bug today is that he now has a home of very own, forever!
Dogs that survivor distemper often have a "tic", a twitch, a limp or another quirk - it's not a defect, it's badge of courage, perseverance, strength and victory. We love helping dogs like Professor Bug - his story is proof of the value and wonderfulness of every single dog, and proof that true love does not require one's partner be perfect....just perfect for them.
At Mutt Mutt Engine, we believe every dog is adoptable because every dog is awesome, and worthy of a happiness. We are so grateful to our colleagues, partners, donors and supporters who believe this too, and help us prove it.
Bug, we love you.
